Geography and Administration
Obio/Akpor Local Government Area is situated in the Niger Delta region and forms a significant portion of the Port Harcourt metropolis in Rivers State. It is bounded by Ikwerre LGA to the north, Port Harcourt City LGA to the south, Eleme to the east, and Emohua to the west. The administrative headquarters is located in the town of Rumuodomaya. The LGA is subdivided into several wards and encompasses numerous prominent communities, including Rumuola, Choba, Ogbogoro, and Rumuomasi.
