Geography and Location
Kankara Local Government Area is situated in the southern region of Katsina State. It is bordered by Dan Musa and Matazu to the north, Musawa and Malumfashi to the east, and Bakori and Faskari to the south and southwest, while also sharing a boundary with Zamfara State to the west. The terrain is characterized by the Sudan Savannah vegetation belt, which features vast plains and seasonal riverbeds. The climate consists of a distinct rainy season and a long dry season, typical of the northern Nigerian landscape.
