Dandume is situated in the southern tip of Katsina State, sharing borders with Funtua Local Government Area to the north and Sabuwa to the west and southwest. It also shares a boundary with Kaduna State to the south. The terrain is characterized by fertile plains within the Northern Guinea and Sudan savannah transition belt, which provides a favorable environment for various agricultural activities. Dandume has a tropical wet-and-dry climate typical of the savannah belt of northwestern Nigeria.
