Geography and Demographics
Tofa Local Government Area is situated in the western part of Kano State within the North West geopolitical zone of Nigeria. The region features a tropical savanna climate characterized by distinct wet and dry seasons, with vegetation typical of the Sudan savanna belt. It covers an estimated land area of 202 square kilometres. The population consists primarily of the Hausa and Fulani ethnic groups, with Islam serving as the widely practised religion and Hausa as the primary language of communication.
Economy and Agriculture
The local economy of Tofa is heavily reliant on agriculture, which provides the primary source of livelihood for a significant majority of its inhabitants.
