Geography and Location

Orlu is situated in the western part of Imo State and is the principal urban center and namesake of the Imo West (Orlu) Senatorial District. It is characterized by its tropical rainforest climate and undulating topography, which supports various agricultural activities. The area shares boundaries with other local government areas including Orsu, Njaba, Ideato South, and Nkwerre. As a major urban center, it serves as a strategic gateway with road connections to various parts of Imo and neighboring states such as Anambra.
