Orsu Local Government Area is situated in the western border area of Imo State, sharing administrative boundaries with local governments in both Imo and Anambra States. Its proximity to Anambra trading centers supports cross-border movement and commerce. The terrain is characterized by the typical tropical rainforest vegetation of southeastern Nigeria, although much of the original forest cover has been replaced by farmland and residential developments. The area experiences a tropical climate with distinct rainy and dry seasons that influence local activity.
