Yakurr Local Government Area is situated in the central part of Cross River State, bordered by Abi to the north, Obubra to the west, Biase to the south, and Ikom to the east. The region is characterized by lush tropical rainforest vegetation and fertile soil suitable for extensive agricultural activities. It comprises several major communities including Ugep, Nko, Mkpani, Ekori, Idomi, and Assiga.
