Orumba North is situated in the southeastern region of Anambra State, sharing boundaries with Orumba South, Aguata, and Anaocha Local Government Areas, as well as parts of Enugu State. The administrative seat is located in Ajalli, which serves as the local government headquarters. The LGA is composed of several autonomous communities, including Ajalli, Oko, Ufuma, Ndikelionwu, and Ndiowu, each governed by traditional rulers and town unions. The terrain is largely characterized by tropical rainforest vegetation and fertile soil, which supports the region's vast agrarian activities.
