Oji River Local Government Area is situated in the southwestern part of Enugu State, serving as a gateway between the eastern heartland and the western markets. It shares boundaries with Udi to the north, Awgu to the east, and Anambra State to the west. Historical Significance and Infrastructure
The area gained national prominence during the colonial era due to the establishment of the Oji River Power Station, which was one of the first major thermal plants in Nigeria.
