Geography and Location
Ivo Local Government Area is situated in the southern extremity of Ebonyi State, sharing borders with Enugu State to the west and Abia State to the south. The landscape is characterized by undulating plains and is primarily drained by the Ivo River, from which the local government derives its name. The vegetation consists of tropical rainforest and derived savanna, providing fertile land for a variety of agricultural activities. Its location makes it a transit point via the road network linking different parts of Southeast Nigeria.
