Kuje Area Council is situated in the south-central part of the Federal Capital Territory, sharing boundaries with Gwagwalada, Abaji, Kwali, and the Abuja Municipal Area Council, while also bordering Nasarawa State. Kuje is one of the FCT's growing satellite towns and has seen residential expansion as Abuja has grown. The area is also known for its tropical savanna climate with relatively milder conditions than parts of far northern Nigeria.
