Obasanjo: Any govt that can’t secure lives has lost basis to exist

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has stated that the primary responsibility of any administration is the protection of its citizens. He noted that a government fundamentally loses its legitimacy and right to remain in power if it fails to provide adequate security and safeguard the lives of the people it governs.
