NBMA disposes of 950kg of unapproved GM cotton seeds

The National Biosafety Management Agency has destroyed nine hundred and fifty kilograms of unapproved genetically modified cotton seeds. The regulatory body carried out the disposal to prevent the unauthorized cultivation of the seeds and ensure strict adherence to national biosafety laws governing the distribution of modified organisms within Nigeria.
