Don’t let green energy become new colonialism, ITUC-Africa warns

ITUC-Africa has cautioned that the global shift to green energy should not reproduce exploitative relationships between richer and poorer nations. The warning highlights concerns that Africa’s resources and workers could be disadvantaged if the energy transition is shaped without fairness, equity and local benefit.
