Diphtheria: Kano gov’t takes active case search to communities with reported deaths

Kano State health authorities have begun actively searching communities where deaths linked to suspected or confirmed diphtheria cases were reported. The exercise is intended to identify additional cases and support a broader public-health response to the infectious disease in affected areas.
