Council of Legal Education Bar candidates against unauthorised use of wig, gown

The Council of Legal Education has issued a warning to candidates currently undergoing training for the Nigerian Bar regarding the unauthorised use of wigs and gowns. The council maintains that wearing professional legal attire before being formally called to the bar is prohibited to preserve the standards and traditions of the Nigerian legal system.
