Accreditation is not a turf war: Why engineering needs both NUC and COREN

The article examines the complementary roles of the National Universities Commission and the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria in accrediting engineering programmes. It argues that accreditation should be understood as a coordinated responsibility supporting educational quality, professional standards and the training of competent engineers, rather than as institutional rivalry.
